We’re so excited to welcome everyone to our little corner of Michigan for the weekend. We hope you spend time relaxing, exploring, eating well, and enjoying the lake with us.

Travel

By Plane

For guests flying in, the closest airport is Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (DTW), located about 40–45 minutes from Bloomfield Hills and Pine Lake Country Club.

We recommend booking flights into DTW and either renting a car or using Uber/Lyft for transportation throughout the weekend.

By Car

For guests driving in, Pine Lake Country Club and the hotel are both located in the Bloomfield Hills / West Bloomfield area, about:

  • ~30 minutes from downtown Detroit

  • ~3.5 hours from Cleveland

  • ~4 hours from Columbus

  • ~4.5–5 hours from Chicago

We highly recommend arriving Friday if possible so you have time to settle in, explore the area, and enjoy the weekend with us.

Hotel & Transportation

A room block has been reserved at our hotel for the weekend. Please use the link to the right to book within the block!

The hotel will provide shuttle service throughout the weekend.

  • Shuttle departs the hotel for Pine Lake Country Club at ~4:25 PM EST

  • Ceremony begins at 5:00 PM

  • Return shuttle departs after the reception

If you prefer to drive, parking will be available at Pine Lake Country Club.

At 4:30 PM, golf carts will begin transporting guests from Pine Lake Country Club to Billy’s childhood home for the ceremony. It’s a short and beautiful walk if you’d rather stroll over on foot. After the ceremony, golf carts will bring guests back to Pine Lake Country Club for cocktail hour and the reception.

There will not be a formal brunch on Sunday, so please feel free to relax and head out whenever works best for you.

Things To Do Around Town

If you’re staying for the weekend and want to explore a bit, here are a few of our favorite local spots and things to do nearby.

Explore the Area

Birmingham is full of great little shops, coffee spots, and restaurant, perfect for wandering during the day.

For anyone wanting to get outside, the Clinton River Trail has plenty of nearby trailheads for walking, running, or biking. Just plug it into Google Maps and pick a starting point.

The Franklin Cider Mill is a Michigan staple — and one of Sonny’s favorite spots. If you’d like to visit before the welcome party, it’s located just a few blocks from The Franklin Oyster Bar & Eatery. It’s well worth the stop for cider, donuts, and the ducks.

Golf Nearby

For anyone hoping to sneak in a round of golf while you’re in town, a few public courses nearby are:

  • Crystal Lake Golf Club (affordable & close by)

  • Pontiac Country Club (laid back & close by)

  • Shepherd’s Hollow Golf Club (more challenging & ~30 min away)
